Welcome back to NEOhio SIGGRAPH 2005/2006!!

OK – so it has been a while since you have heard anything about the Northeast Ohio Professional Chapter of SIGGRAPH.

So it’s been an exciting summer and we have decided to really go all out with the chapter and this year we are aiming to have a variety of events. Our first event of the 2005-2006 year is going to take place on Sunday Oct 2, 2005 (more on this below).

First I would like to re-introduce the Chapter:

The Northeast Ohio Professional Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH (the ACM Special Interest Group in Graphics and Interactive techniques). The goal of the group is to foster a membership community whose core values help them to catalyze the innovation and application of computer graphics and interactive techniques.

We are a professional group and our goal is to support professional interactivity through networking, events, and yes having fun.

The chapter leadership:

Chair – Jared Bendis.
Jared is Creative Director of New Media for Case Western Reserve University and also The Virtual Reality Specialist for the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Vice Chair – David Fleischer.
Dave is Assistant Professor of 3D Animation at the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Secretary/Treasurer – Mike Hilliard.
Mike is a mem
ber of the New Media Initiatives team at the Cleveland Museum of Art and a past chair of the chapter.

Event Coordinator - Jenny Lenhard.
Jenny is new to the graphics world but not to event planning and she has volunteered to help us plan our season and keep it full and interesting.
